Asynchronous Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) allows your company to use a dedicated connection to the Internet that can be shared across your entire network.

Most ADSL service is run as a line share service meaning that the signal is placed over an existing phone line. Most new Excalibur ADSL circuits are provisioned on a separate pair of cables that is not shared with any of your phone lines. This provides the cleanest signal for the data service and can help improve speed and performance. Line share is used where direct connection service is not available.

ADSL service is available to clients within a two mile vicinity of an operational ADSL telephone company (Telco) facilities site. Currently 80% of the local Telco areas are covered by ADSL service. Some areas do not qualify for ADSL service. To find out if your company qualifies, please call our office and speak to a Technology Consultant. If you qualify, we can get you setup in approximately two weeks. If you do not qualify, we will be glad to explore other high-speed Internet options with you. Depending on your phone closet and network closet configuration, you might need to have an extension line ran from your phone service access point to your network closet.
